Case Overview:
The customer is a SMT OEM manufacturer. In the process of using the dry ice cleaning machine, the static electricity accumulated to about 6000V, which damaged components with an original static resistance value of 3500V, resulting in an increase in the cost of replacement and affecting the professional image of the company. The requirement from customer is to control the static electricity within 120V.
Solutions:
AP-AB1216 ion bar was selected after analyzing of the dry ice cleaning equipment. Two bars were installed side by side at 30cm away from the PCB board.
Final electrostatic value was controlled within 120V which can meet customer requirements.
