When the molten plastic parison falls toward the open mold, the electrostatic charge will cause the following problems:
1. When there is more than one parison on each mold, the static charge always has the same polarity. Such parisons will be mutually exclusive. In this case, it is generally impossible to transfer the object into the tool, and quality problems also arise due to pressure lines on the molded product.
2. For a single parison, a similar problem arises when a single parison is adsorbed by the metal parts of many machines.
solution:
DC ion rods provide long distance ionization areas without blowing air. The system's constant flow of ions ensures complete neutralization, which neutralizes the static charge from the parison extrusion head to the top of the blow tool. This method is ideal for thin parisons that are easily cooled prematurely or blown away by a slight airflow. A small AC stick is a good choice when space is tight.
