Can We Eliminate ESD?

Share:
To learn more about ESD, we must have a good understanding of the basis of this event. Remember, everything in the world is made up of small particles called electrons, protons and neutrons. Thanks to these particles, we can know the type of charge that makes up every substance around us.

A very popular phrase:

"Energy is neither created nor destroyed. It is just transformed."

Therefore, we can’t eliminate protons and electrons, and we will always find them in everything we know. What happens to these particles, especially electrons, they start to jump between different molecules to maintain balance.

Electrostatic discharge (ESD) is generated due to this natural movement of electrons. In addition, let's remember that motion will cause electrons to be excited, so that they can move faster and charge objects with greater force; This is where the phenomenon of human entering ESD increases. Because of any activity we carry out, we will generate friction or movement, which will lead to ESD.

Therefore, in order to control the ESD phenomenon in EPA, it is necessary to place elements that allow us to discharge these charges to the physical ground through the connection points. Avoid electrostatic charge concentration at a certain point, so as to avoid possible damage to our sensitive equipment.

Therefore, electrostatic discharge (ESD) will never be eliminated, and they will always be in our area. But we can control it; We control our environment to minimize any type of download. If they exist, their download value is very small and will not affect the device.

Therefore, ESD control is variable, because it depends on the line or area where we apply it. If it is not necessary in our process, we do not always need to cover certain points of the standard.
